Here is a review of my USA G&L M-2000. I’ve had this bass for about a year and use it regularly on various gigs and recordings. I am really amazed with the sonic capabilities that this bass can deliver. I’m not usually a humbucker pickup fan, but this bass is definitely changing my mind. The M-2000 reminds me of a Ken Smith or Wal bass in terms of tone. This bass has a Swamp Ash body, 1/4 sawn maple neck, Ebony fretboard, G&L MFD Pickups, an 18 volt, 3-band active Preamp and it’s strung up with GHS Super Steel strings. I recorded direct using my Kahn Audio Tube DI straight in to my Universal Audio Apollo Twin and used Tsunami Cables for all connections.
