Here’s a quick demo video comparing an older and newer set of DR DDT strings. I’m using my 4 string Marco TFL bass, in standard tuning, and recording through my A-Designs REDDI straight into my Apogee Duet into Logic audio.
The DR DDT strings were originally engineered for Drop Down Tuning, they work so well for standard tuning, that they have become one of my favorite strings to use. They have, ever so slightly, more tension than regular DR Strings such as Low Riders, High Beams, etc…
The older set of DDT’s are at least 7 months old, I use this bass quite a bit on gigs and recordings, and as you can hear, the strings have lasted a long time.
All playing examples were recorded direct.
