This is Part 1 of a multiple part project. I wanted to use the A Designs Audio Ventura Mic Preamp to record an entire song, from Drums to Vocals to guitar to bass, and with the help of my friend Jason Toney, we wrote a short little tune and used the Ventura to record all parts. We will feature the complete song in the next video.
This video utilizes the Ventura’s Mic Pre, set flat, and only using an Audio Technica AT4047 as a room mic, we got an incredibly awesome drum sound. We went into my MacBook Pro using an Apogee Duet straight to Logic Audio.
There are no effects, plug ins, compression, EQ, on the track, it was bounced clean from Logic audio.
Part 2 coming soon……
Produced by Steve Araujo and Jason Toney.
